That said, I still think starting the Sepiks strike and turning around is the fastest and most reliable method-- again, if you have a full fireteam. Otherwise you're just trolling randoms when you run in the opposite direction to do a patrol and then quit out when you're done.

You can't do patrol during a Strike--all the missions are disabled. The most you can do is wait for public events.
