No, you're right. I haven't played it, but just from reading the notes it sure sounds like we'd better get used to saying "Guys, special ammo in 5 near point B! Hurry up, I'm not waiting to pick it up!"

If you're going to make the special weapon ammo spawn less often, at least drop the dead guy's special ammo for me. Come ON.

Kalamari and I were just having a talk regarding balance and domino effects, and we realized that borderline mixing the presence of shotguns, nothing can counter The Last Word at close range now. It's just gonna wreck nearly unchallenged.

The thing Bungie doesn't realize is that a change to an entire class of weapons has an effect elsewhere in the sandbox, with greater effect to weapons at both ends of the range spectrum...
