Gotta agree with this.

I mean... pretty much every single loot based game is the same way. Borderlands has limited storage space with a HUGE number of items to collect, and so does Diablo. Both are often considered the biggest and most popular loot based games out there. No game has ever intended a player to collect every single item in the game.

i've never played diablo so i can't comment.

Borderlands has no PvP (other than 1v1 duels in the PvE world). So you basically just keep the weapons that fit your playstyle. Very rarely did any of the gear get tweaked (conference call/the bee combo a notable exception).

I feel like with Destiny, you HAVE to keep nearly every weapon you get solely for potential PvP usage. weapon tweaks happen so often, and different weapons rise to the top after every update.
