I like a little story in my movies. This looks like 90(-ish) minutes of thrill with no substance. I'll pass.

You are unfairly writing this off. Trust me. And if you write it off now you can never see it in 3D, which makes a huge difference because the 3D is used to support the story, not as a gimmick. It's utterly immersive and unnerving.

This is a film meant to be seen on a big screen, and it's pretty spectacular.

You're assuming, of course, I had any inclination toward the 3D experience to begin with. In fact, I can't remember the last time I watched a movie in an actual theater. I'll wait for the reviews and see if that sways me -- in which case, I'm still gonna wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it. :)
