Just got back from watching it in 3-D. So, so many long shots, the first 20 minutes I think didn't cut away, and the camera kept spinning around with the characters. George Clooney was definitely a bit too cheeky, too jokey in this role, but Bullock was fine. The physics stayed largely realistic and consistent, except for one obvious part where it didn't, just in order to serve the plot. The lack of sound was my favorite part; not hearing the debris flying around, but knowing it's traveling miles per second, was pretty frightening, much like not being able to see the monster in a horror movie might be.
