Your point reminds me of TF2. Perfect visual design ruined by superfluous crap.

Kinda agree there. I dunno, maybe it's elitist or something. Not sure it matters to me.

And yeah, having to constantly learn new maps in Reach pushed me away from Halo. Since it's all about map control, it got really hard to just drop in on occasion and have fun.
