I did ponder whether Abyss Defiant has a place on the Omnigul Strike… maybe I should try it out.

Abyss defiant is fun enough for solar/all burn Omnigul. As you're shooting it you know you could be doing better with another gun, but it's kinda fun to spray every 100 games or so.
