Some exceptions (Destiny)

I know, I know, there are always exceptions, but here is one:

Given the high use of Thorn and other DOT abilities, I have on two occasions self revived and immediately started dancing. I could do this because the round had initially ended with all players dead, my revive gave us the win without me having to fire a shot.

But I agree that in general it's most effective to do it mid round. Unless of course you're lucky enough to get what I had last night, wherein I self revived at the end of the round while their only remaining player was either in menu or in the bathroom. He didn't move for a solid 3 seconds.
