Wow. Bungie's opening their office doors to the fans the day before Destiny hits! If you're one of the first 300 attendees, you "stand a good chance" of coming inside and taking part in a tour and a Crucible match - Monday, September 8th, from Noon to Five. Oh, to live in Seattle...
You’re invited to be our guest, right here at Bungie. We’re throwing our doors open wide. Come and see where we work. Meet the people who have prepared Destiny for launch. Put your skills to the test in our arena. While you wait for your turn, anything can happen. It is, after all, a public event."
SigbiasSilva was first on our forum to post about it!
Keith Stuart of The Guardian writes a short history of Bungie and Destiny's origins and production, as well as the framework of the gameplay itself in this article. Not much new but there's some nice insights from the crew and it relays the big picture well. Thanks to DaDerga and Kermit who both pointed it out to us.
As we've noted before, Jonty Barnes told the press at Gamescom that Bungie heard the call for Guardian facial hair loud and clear from the community. Gamespot brought a few of these quotes together for a new article. Although a time table sounds indefinite, he says:
So we at least have that to look forward to at the End of Time! Thanks Jester GS!...I'm pretty sure by the end of time there will be plenty of beards in Destiny."
Hedgem0ny unearthed (via his Twittter) a nice piece of fanart by Dexter Orszagh. Move your eyes slightly lower to see it.
Bungie just posted a new live action trailer! Go watch a fireteam tear across the frontier with their guns and space magic! (GrimBrother IV pointed it out on the forums also)
Been waiting to upgrade to an Xbox One? Microsoft just made the jump a little more enticing! Starting next week at select retailers when you buy an Xbox One you can get any new Xbox One retail game for free! In my unbiased opinion you should probably just pick up Destiny. Thanks Lekku for pointing it out!
Playstation is showing off the next piece of timed exclusive content, the Dust Palace Strike on Mars. They have posted a new video to Youtube walking you through the basics of the Strike. Thanks again to petetheduck!
