Displeased with the grind. (Destiny)

I don’t want to seem discourteous, and I mean this in a pretty lighthearted way, so don’t take it too seriously but . . . Absolutely fuck all that.

Asking for a game to respect my time is not the same thing as instant gratification. This is a video game. It’s a video game that doesn’t have much in the way of challenge, other than the challenge of finding the time to get around all the roadblocks Bungie puts up.

I’m actually pretty okay with this quest. It seems fairly well-considered. Do the Triumphs for huge discounts, or grind out materials to buy them. That’s good player choice. It’s almost exactly what I’ve been asking for. Only it still feels like it’s too grindy just for the sake of being a grind.

But saying that people just want instant gratification instead of earning a fun item in a video game is silly to me. It’s a video game. I want cool toys to play with in my free time, not another job.

I still don’t feel even remotely bad for using the exploit to avoid the whole thing.
