Most of this thread seems to be sidestepping the issue. I’m going to talk about it head-on.

Honestly? There are no excuses anymore. There is now a significant track record of Bungie plagiarizing art elements across multiple projects. Why does this keep happening?

I’m going to refrain from speaking on the game itself because I haven’t played it and have no idea how it’s going to perform, so I haven’t had a chance to formulate an opinion that adds anything to the conversation, although I will say that I am still intrigued and still think it looks pretty fun. My fear is that Marathon is now too far into its dev cycle to fix this. They can’t just pull everything out and start again. If it’s true that the art is plagiarized (which, I have to say, looks pretty much irrefutable at this point), I don’t see how the launch can overcome the negative publicity.
