Yeah, but... How does any of that preclude the inclusion of a theater mode? Theater would have fit snugly with the rest of Destiny's features. If they needed an in-story explanation for it, they could just say that your Ghost records old missions for later review.

Because it requires a certain amount of work and resources they have to put in to designing a theater mode over any other feature they want in Destiny. I agree with Rev, just because a past Bungie game included ANY feature does not mean they are beholden to make it, especially if they have new ideas they have higher on their priority list.
