Bungie's AMA answers...

heroics.pngIGN recently asked Destiny fans to ask their most burning questions about Destiny 2, and Project Lead Mark Noseworthy and Game Director Luke Smith have provided direct answers to a number of those questions. Will our Guardians remain mute throughout Destiny 2? How much will Beta feedback influence the final product? When exactly does the raid become available? Answers to most of these questions await!

Marty O'Donnell's DBO AMA

Okay, we're not reddit, and we don't really do AMAs, but Marty's a rebel, and he does what he wants. If you swing by our forum today, Saturday, April 9th, at around 4pm PDT, you'll find this guy hanging out, answering questions. About anything. (That's what the second A is in AMA, after all.) Ask him about Myth music, Oni music, Halo music, Destiny music, Golem music... or go wild! Ask him about stuff that's not even music! Prepare your questions... and then be here later this afternoon!

Taking the Long (Wide?) View

Creating panoramic shots in Bungie games has been a thing for many years, and we've even highlighted a few - but there's a huge batch that's new to me. Over on reddit, THConer posted a link to a few dozen of them, many of which were created before TTK dropped. Thanks to dogcow, I finally got to see them! You should, too. They're beautiful. And THConer's reddit post shows you how to make your own.

Cogniting the Terra

A recent Community focus on Bungie.net was shined on TerraMantis, the creator of the impressive 'Crota, the Light Eater' piece we mentioned a couple of weeks ago. It's an interesting read... because TerraMantis is an interesting person. Check out Parts 1 and 2 of his '10 Things You Don't Know about Destiny' series, below.

Destiny is Amazon's Gold Box Deal of the Day

hope.pngIs a Gold Box like a Gold Chest? If it is, this is way better than a Jade Rabbit insignia. We heard over the grapevine that Destiny on PS4 and Xbox One is half off at Amazon today! This may be US only.

Strength In Light - Captured Sights

Bungie.Org's long lost cousin Hedgem0ny had screenshot and panorama blogs for Bungie's Halo 3, ODST, and Reach. Now he's doing it again for Destiny. Go take a look, he's always good at pointing out beautiful details that you might have missed in the heat of battle.

How Big?

Gamasutra interviewed Jason Sussman about the art direction of Destiny, and since Bungie's departments work very closely he talks a lot about design and gameplay decisions. (INSANEdrive also pointed it out on the forum)

Destiny Panoramas

DualShockers created a series of panoramic shots of Destiny environments - and they're beautiful. You should go look at them. Thanks again to Xenos for pointing them out.

DBO Interviews Chris Butcher - Plus Bungie Loves You!

We sat down with Chris Butcher during the madness of E3 and asked a bunch of questions that were burning holes in our pockets (and our brains). He answered a lot of them. (Forgive us for the camera focus; our second unit had issues.) Go check it out - and then swing by our forum... if you have further questions, you might just find answers!

Bungie's GDC Talk - now up at GDCVault

Gamasutra has posted their version of the Destiny talk Bungie gave at GDC this year, in their GDCVault - for free. It's a different layout than the Gamespot vid we've all seen - it allowed me to grab a few better concept art shots for our GDC Concept Art Gallery, and it's never a bad thing to have multiple sources of great content. Go take a look!
