It's largely about playstyle. I would suggest sharding a good number of guns, but some crazy person may just like using the gun. We just did Crota, Nechrochasm only, in 40 minutes (still a decent time, don't judge us). Using the gun widely considered to be one of the worst in the game. Blackstar didn't even have that and used Eidelon Ally. No snipies, no rockets, just that shitty auto rifle.

Bungie has managed to make just about every gun GOOD ENOUGH in this game, and if you adjust your playstyle, anything will become good to use.

So, in seriousness, the thing won't work that well. It's about how you play, not what you have. And nobody, not even ME, can say what's best for a person in this game.
