It was impossible for me to reliably test, sadly. I was getting all my timings by counting frames of videos recorded using the PS4s DVR feature (because "the stopwatch method" is NOT acceptable. Stop using stopwatches Reddit. Jeese..) and there's no visual indication of exactly when the reload button is pressed, so I had no reliable starting point.

My best guess would be that reloading manually removes the delay, but that's purely qualitative, so take it with a bucket of salt.
