Also, while no one asked me, I feel obliged to say that I'm reading 'The Collected Stories of Arthur C. Clarke'. My just-bought Kindle informs me I'm currently 13% in, but it already paid itself and the Kindle's price in wonder and enjoyment.

If you're a fan of gaming, or RUSH (Mig!). or anything else related to the 80s, or maybe you're old enough to remember the 80s (Mig!), you've gotta read READY PLAYER ONE. I just finished it, and it was a delight. Something on every page made me smile.

I enjoyed that one too!

On a fantasy note, I've now read twice a series called "The Riyria Revelations" by Michael J. Sullivan. (Book I, Book II, Book III). Imagine a buddy cop story set in a fantasy world, with an excellent cast of supporting characters. The writer has excellent pacing, is very good with what he reveals and when, and I'll just say that the ending is, IMO, fantastic.

Also, pretty much anything by Brandon Sanderson is awesome.
