I haven't actually beaten it yet. I think Emmy is nearing the end(ironically, we got it for me to play while she played Borderlands 2) and I will let you know, in a spoiler-free way, if the ending is that sort of cliffhanger.

I would actually be okay with it ending on a cliffhanger because the game is just plain fun. I joined a group of paladins and ended up getting this sweet giant hammer, which I then needed to use to beat a demon beast's head into the ground so he couldn't enter our realm.

...then he offered me power if I joined him instead and killed all the paladin generals.
