Sure you're not thinking of the sixaxis?
Because that most certainly is awful and cheap feeling controller.
Hated it.
The DS3 is fine in my book though, save for slightly awkward triggers.

I even checked before making that post - the controller here in my hands clearly says DUALSHOCK 3. (It also says SIXAXIS, but I know that name is commonly used to refer to the original, rumble-less PS3 controller - which I've never owned.)

It's not the worst controller I've ever had, but relative to my 360 controllers it definitely feels more flimsy and cheap.
