re: Destiny 2 (Destiny)
It sounds like Sony is in this for two major reasons:
1. Bungie’s expertise as a live-service games developer, and
2. The trans-media potential of the Destiny franchise.
I genuinely believe that they want to keep Bungie multi-platform for the foreseeable future. This doesn't feel like a PlayStation move; it’s a “we want to get in on the revenue stream from live services without having to build a brand-new system from the ground up” move.
