Just want to say the in not a fan of what has been shown. It should be noted - the reason the HBO logo works is because of "HALO".

This post - and its replies - tickle me.

The reason the HBO logo works is because it's unique - but the fact that it has a ring in is COMPLETELY coincidental, with respect to Halo.

The logo came from Craig Mullins, originally, as a throwaway decoration on a building from a picture he created in the mid-90s. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Halo, and in fact when we asked him if we could adopt it as the bungie.org logo, we had never even CONCEIVED of Halo, much less seen it.

I'm not throwing it away (or leaving it out of destiny.bungie.org) just because it's ABSORBED a 'Halo' feel over the years... it's still the bungie.org logo, and appears on every single one of our subsites.

This is a nice reminder. The original logo looked more like a bowl than a halo ring anyway--we just saw what we wanted to see.

Now when I think about it, I like the original thing Levi and company were working with, except I'm remove the damage. It's stylized, remember. A logo.

The standard logo inside a white sphere might be perfect.
