Ok, just wasn't sure how much variation in application was being considered in the design. I might just be jumping way ahead of this current stage of submissions :P (those were the only two critiques, and only because yours is my favorite of the bunch so far ;)

It's good feedback to get — I think from what ncsuDuncan has said so far this is really just bouncing ideas off each other, but my natural way of working is to think about treatments and contexts for usage from the get-go, because if it won't work in the context it's planned for, it's no good. I'm going to follow up with a tweaked version plus small rendering for review before long anyway.
