It's not the same. Destiny CALLS them collections. They have special holes. Remember those boards that had holes for the state quarters? Imagine if the US Mint gave those to every man woman and child to collect the quarters, and to get more money, they had to go to the board. Now imagine in order to get Arkansas, you had to make a $20000 purchase at some point. That hole just stares at you. I do not like that the game is now influencing me and reminding me that I should be collecting the guns.

I guess I just don't feel that the game is influencing us any more than it already did. To me, the real influence is playing the game and seeing other people using cool stuff that you don't have. That has always been the carrot on the stick that gets me thinking "oooh that looks really cool. I want one!"

The terminals just seem like an easier way to keep track of the gear many of us were already chasing.
