I never said they shouldn't be as good. Look at Fatebringer or Black Hammer. I don't like how they are classified in the game with its current framework. Period. that is it.

Right, but they got left behind (and nerfed) for a reason. Changing the reward to Legendaries requires that they not be as good, otherwise you can have two exotic-tier weapons equipped at the same time, breaking what semblance of balance they DO have in the game.
