It's not the same. Destiny CALLS them collections. They have special holes. Remember those boards that had holes for the state quarters? Imagine if the US Mint gave those to every man woman and child to collect the quarters, and to get more money, they had to go to the board. Now imagine in order to get Arkansas, you had to make a $20000 purchase at some point. That hole just stares at you. I do not like that the game is now influencing me and reminding me that I should be collecting the guns.

Coin and stamp collecting (as is collecting anything really) for the sake of just collecting is a stupid hobby. Likewise collecting exotics just to collect them is stupid. If say, your comic book collection is a byproduct of you buying comics you read, then fine. Just as an exotic collection of guns you use is fine.

You will go crazy and waste so much time trying to complete collections and get nothing in return.
