I know myself and this means I will probably hoard shaders and use them only when I get dupes, if then.

Even so, this system kills any interest I have in using shaders at all until I get some gear that I know I want to keep.

I've already decided to postpone any kind of equipment enhancement for this very reason.

Bungie should have cautioned people to not waste upgrades until they attained a suitable light level.

I've already applied a shader to a piece of armor I scrapped. And I've already placed two shaders on a piece of armor I plan on keeping.

Maybe you guys should just experiment more :D
