I feel your pain (Destiny)

Most of my infusion, like Cody mentioned, are 310 exotics. But I RARELY infuse if I am going to lose any attack/defense from the transfer. Another thing I have started doing, since I am max marks alot of the time and my materials are fine, is infusing lower level things around 280ish. Basically if I get 280 ish legendary, regardless of the roll (obviously I may use the good ones) I infuse it with other useless gear. I have several 295+ pieces, waiting to be infused higher. I call it my infusion bank. Eventually, I will start getting useless 305 peices, but dont want to lose anything. So I will infuse one of my infusion bank pieces to bring it up before throwing my higher level on there. This sounds rather common sense, but I don't think alot of people are doing it. Essentially don't throw away anything over 290, infuse it. save it. You will eventually need it.

This is great advice, but it kinda requires having a bunch of weapons above 290 that you don't need. I've only got 5 primaries above 295, and those are the ones I use all the time.
