Newsweek Special Edition

Originally sighted on Twitter, it looks like Newsweek will be putting out an "official collector's edition" magazine focused on Destiny. If it's not already at your local grocery/book store, it should be there tomorrow, August 19th (in the US, at least).

To fight the bug, we must understand the bug.

Yesterday's Bungie Weekly Update was a doozy - no real details, but they're in bug-squashing mode, which is exciting! (There are pictures. Not of bugs, you sicko.) There are also more pics of the Fallen Captain cake that Dave Candland received a few days ago. And some great questions and answers in the Mailsack. What are you waiting for? (We have a copy here, too, of course.)

Simmering Destiny to Perfection

The Bungie Weekly Update is live, with a first-hand account by DeeJ of how deliciously the Destiny experience is coming along. Take in some tantalizing impressions and stick around for a few juicy tidbits in the Mail Sack, giving some solid indications on the nature of PvP and why you'll want to experience what each flavor of Guardian has to offer. (Don't forget, there's always a local version, too.)

BWU 3/14/2014

The Bungie Weekly Update is up over at bungie.net (you can get the local version here); no new info this week, save the low rumblings of the marketing machine winding up within the bowels of Activision's corporate fortress.  Go read!

What's in the case?

Bungie's community team visited Europe this week - but they almost didn't make it. Go read the trials and tribulations in the latest Bungie Weekly Update! (It's in our Weekly Update Archive, as well, if you need it for any reason.) Thanks, Xenos.

Naked Shades of Gray

Bungie has posted their latest Weekly Update - and it's absolutely worth a read. There are intriguing little hints, both in the main writeup and in the answers to the Mail Sack questions... but there's also a fantastic look back at the recent Bungie Pentathlon. Go read. (It's in our Weekly Update Archive, as well, if you need that.) Thanks, Xenos.

DeeJ and Urk's Excellent Adventure (Prelude)

If you swing by Bungie.net and read the latest Bungie Weekly Update, you'll realize a new group of people were in the studio this week, tasting the fruit of the Destiny vine - should we expect another round of articles soon? (There are also many, many fan-asked questions that get answers, some substantial, some not so much, all fun to read.) Go on by - or read our local version, if you prefer. Either way... read. Thanks, GrimBrother IV.

Plotting and Scheming

Friday is yet again upon us. I know this because another Bungie Weekly Update has landed! It's a semi-quiet post this week filled with more vague promises and teases that we all love. We also get an interview with Brandon Lewis, Bungie newcomer and the latest Weekend Champion, as well as a tantalizing snapshot of Bungie's caffeine dispensary. (Don't forget, you can read it locally, as well.)

It's a new year!

DeeJ stopped by to announce a new Bungie Weekly Update - it's exciting. As he says, it's the best one in weeks! (That's funny because there hasn't been one in weeks. Geddit?) Go read it. It'll remind you how to get into the Beta program, and it'll teach you a little bit about The Director. And some other stuff.) As always, you can read (and search) it locally, as well as on B.net.

Bungie Goes Bravely into the Dark

Bungie's latest Weekly Update closes out the year for the studio, signalling the start of a long-awaited and hard-earned rest for the creators of the Traveller's brave new world. DeeJ drops details about the Winter Build and a company-wide playtest to show off all the shiniest new bits.  The Update also takes a brief look over the last year and the milestone moments in Destiny's development for many Bungie folk, and we get some inkling about the wonders that will await us all in the New Year.  Go read! (Don't forget, we have a local version, too.)

It's Weekly Update Time

Today's Bungie Weekly Update focuses on a halloween costume that involves a gorgeous modeled Thorn (unlike the one created by Karin Olava, this one was actually 3D-printed from in-game assets - one of the benefits of working at Bungie)... and it has some interesting fan questions (with some squirrely answers) in the week's mail sack. If you'd rather, you can read it in our Weekly Update Archive. Go appreciate it! And appreciate Xenos, who keeps on top of all of this stuff.

A flaming WHAT?

eclipse.pngIn keeping with standard Friday traditions, Bungie has posted the latest Bungie Weekly Update - it reiterates the newly-announced release date, it reminds people of the latest issue of Game Informer (chock-full of Destiny info), and it answers some useful questions. It even provides the audio for a flaming bung-hole. (That might not be as dirty as it sounds.) Go give it a read: either on Bungie.net or in our own Weekly Update Archive!

Committed to the Stars

This week's Bungie Weekly Update has arrived, and along with it we gain another new perspective on (and more than a few questions about) our Destiny. It sounds like another big milestone was reached this week and the ceremonial Reaping of the Guardians took place in preparation for the next new build. The various cogs and wheels of Destiny seem to be coming together quickly as we fly toward the beta!

The Weekly Update Goes Moon-ward One Last Time

Just as DeeJ, Urk, and the rest of the Bungie away team returns home from overseas, so to does the Bungie Weekly Update! After a brief recap of their jet-setting adventures, we get one last look at the Moon before that destination goes dark, with specific focus on the Accelerator environment we saw in the original Grognok demo and more recently heard about on last week's podcast. The Halloween pumpkin carving entires get some love, too, and even a couple Mail Sack questions get answered!

And, of course, the update is available in our local archive should you wish to read it over here.

You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello

The new Bungie Weekly Update is up! This week covers Dave Dunn's trip to Australia, another in-house character reset (and the new features that come with it), and gives us a glimpse at the Weekend Champion phenomenon that has been making its way through Twitter for the last few weeks. Go check it out! (Thanks, Kermit!) [edit: Now that there are two of these, it's probably time to unveil our Weekly Update Archive - if you've been with us for a few years, you might recognize some of the code as recycled from the Halo BWU Archives. What can I say? We're lazy. It's okay, though, because this gives you an easy way to find Weekly Update tidbits that stick in your brain, down the road, since it's searchable.]

It's like it never left

After several years of silence, the Bungie Weekly Update has returned! DeeJ talks a bit about the Beta and we get a great behind-the-scenes look at some of the environment development for the Moon featured in this week's trailer. Oh, and there are some Beta codes, but I'm sure those disappeared before I finished typing this. There's only one way to find out, though!
