CostOfPS3@Destiny1Launch + CostOfPS4@Destiny2Launch < CostOfPS4@Destiny1Launch

Which is most likely to be correct?

That is an excellent point, and there is the question of whether PSN on the PS4 will start charging a monthly fee. If so, the cost of just getting the PS4 now would probably be quite a bit more because of that additional service charge. Something to keep in mind.
