From what I've seen of the PS4 controllers, they are fixing them. The hand-holds are curved, much more like a 360 controller than a PS3. Also, I think they moved the sticks.
Final judgement reserved until I've actually held one, of course. But initial impressions from the photos sure look like they're trying to make it more comfortable to hold.
