We haven't had a lot of action in our Fan Fiction section recently - but after filtering out the Viagra articles, the truth about kittens, and other ridiculous spam, we DID find a submission from a couple of weeks ago, provided by RebornUmbraHaze. Go give Shadows, Part 1 a read!
While the above is most relevant right now, Dulcamarra has other cute Destiny-related cartoons on their DeviantArt, like below. Discovered via Hedge!
Badass Gaming put together a trailer for 'Competitive Race Mode' - I'm loving it. Watch the trailer!
Korny dropped in with a fantastic idea - a new Exotic Quest, involving some interesting ideas about changes to the questing procedure, and ending up with a pretty amazing-looking weapon. Go read it - I sort of wish there were ways for fan ideas to be integrated into the future of Destiny!
Let's catch up on a few fan creations this morning - it was a busy week last week. First up, Mid7night printed out some of his designs in metal (we mentioned them last year when he first whipped them up) - they look fantastic! Consider snagging one for yourself! (Links are in his forum post.)
LadyDesiree continues her excellent piano arrangements of Destiny tunes, the latest being "The Traveler". Significantly different from the original, this version really builds up climatically!
DBO community member Breitzen commissioned me to draw his Warlock. I feel weird writing a newspost about my own art... but, well, there you go. You can also see a gif of the sketch transitioning to completion here.
neolfex wins the 'coolest Destiny cake topper' award for 2015. I mean... geez. (Check his reddit post for more details - that beer can is pretty cool!)
...Again! And we're totally okay with that! LadyDesiree dropped by our forum with more sheet music and a playthrough of it, this time of "Traveler's Promise". Great way to start your Monday morning!
If you haven't seen this video yet, you should watch it right now. Micah Bell and friends created 'What If...?' - a series of ideas for UI improvements in Destiny. The twist? They actually whipped up the graphics to show how their changes would look in-game. Some of the ideas are good, and some are great... but the presentation is FANTASTIC. Go watch. (Faction Wars? Brilliant.)
Operation Supply Drop is a charity organization set up to provide recreational support to US and NATO troops around the world. The 2015 8-Bit Salute is looking to raise $5,000 from the Destiny community - and they're well on their way (almost $2,000 so far). Go watch them streaming Destiny for the next 24 hours or so - and help out with a great cause, if you can!
We know about this because LadyDesiree stopped by a couple of days ago, and posted a new arrangement she'd recorded - 'Cabal Stomp', on piano. This, like her other arrangements, rocks, and we're sorry it took so long to highlight it - and the event she created it for. Go watch, go listen!
Hedge tweeted this exciting piece of fanart by Springs. Fun idea! The artist also has another Destiny piece in their gallery featuring a Titan relaxing at the Tower as well.
Wickedshrapnel stopped by to let us know about the support group he setup for disenfranchised Guardians who had found their lives lacking a certain regal rocket launcher... and the results were humorous. Warning: some harsh language.
Speedracer513 found a collection of creative and colorful phone wallpapers/posters by Noble-6 on Destiny's SubReddit. Pretty!
After posting the LEGO Icebreaker last week, I descended into the domain of Flickr for more constructed marvels. I returned with these, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

SKSProps is obviously talented if you take a look through his DeviantArt gallery. I'm not sure if this Mask of the Third Man recreation inspires me or terrifies me! He's also got another Hunter helm, a lot more shots of this Mask, and he's recently started a chest piece.
In this week's One One Se7en... wait? What? ...Ah, just read it.
Thanks for coming out of the woodwork, Stuntmutt!
See - a LEGO pun! Bet nobody's done that before. Anyways, SigbiasSilva let us know about a pretty great fan creation that's been making the rounds: a LEGO Icebreaker. That fiery sniper rifle that keeps on giving!
Out of the darkness, he emerged, his mind naked in the dark. There was a light ahead, like a lantern on the trail, rolling and dipping toward him through a starless night."
Since last we mentioned iconicbanana's latest foray into short prose, he's released parts 3, 4, and 5 of The Lonely Fall of Andal Brask. Busy guy!
He's collected all the links to the series in one handy post here in our forum. Easy way to catch up and enjoy the story uninterrupted!
Community member and treasured artist, TDSpiral, took a stab at imagining an Exotic handcannon called "The Serpent" created originally by a fan on Reddit. The results were awesome, and while I picked my favorite to highlight here, he's got a wallop of variations to gaze at.
LadyDesiree is back with another self-arranged piano piece - no sheet music this time, but some beautiful notes. Go listen!
Just a quick note to say that iconicbanana posted part 2 of his The Lonely Fall of Andal Brask story. I think it's time we start dusting off our Fan Fiction section, what do you say?
It looks like a storytelling bug is starting to go around in the forums! iconicbanana follows up his Eris Origins storyline with a new piece of fiction, The Lonely Fall of Andal Brask: Part 1, and Dagoonite has started his own storyline with two new pieces, The Lost Exo and What Was Unsaid. Go check them out and let them know what you think; I love seeing these community creations!
LadyDesiree dropped by our forums to share her performance of the aforementioned track that plays while you idle in orbit. She arranged it herself and it's quite lovely!
And even cooler, she shared the sheet music she made for it (Page 1, Page 2), for the musicians out there.
