The boring cave (Destiny)

I'm getting decent drops playing the strike playlist (no purples though). I'm getting probably 4 or 5 engrams a strike, which is 20 minutes or so, plus the rewards at the end. The big thing is that my vanguard rep is going up and I can buy legendary armor from them. Also, once you hit level 3 you get a free legendary weapon and another free one for each level above.

Since it's matchmaking,I can also go in solo and have people to play with. For me, that's been more fun and productive than the loot cave, but YMMV.

The Strike playlist is definitely more fun, but the rep reward is so low and the drop rate is only decent compared to the cave. I pretty much split my time between cleaning up the bounties, playing strikes, and the cave. The thing that has leveled me from a 21 to a 23 has been the cave though. If I ever get to Vanguard level 2 or 3, the game will probably be more fun. I think I still have 900 or 1000 more rep to go though, so it's going to be a couple days?
