Basically, when I get out-played or out-skilled it is annoying but it motivates me to get better. But when someone's guns have better stats than the ones I have randomly found, it feels frustrating and unfair.

I must be weird because it motivates me to take on more bounties (non-crucible - don't get all upset) and just keep playing.

Maybe, I never got into COD for similar reasons. I'm not going to continually take punishment from people who appear to play worse than I do, simply because they found/bought better weapons. For me that is nothing but a negative experience, not a motivating one. For me, good game design rewards skill, not grinding, But that's a beef for another time.

If bounties would give me the guns that would put me on their level, then that is what I would do too. But as it is, bounties are not going to fix the problem, and our savior The Cave will.
