Well, we hope your end-of-year celebrations were epic. (And we hope they're not the last ones ever, but that's another story.) Ragashingo finished up another three installments of his 'Bite-Sized Backstory' series, and we're here to bring them to you. These focus on the more recent conquests of Oryx - and maybe some tie-ins with previous Bungie games. Go give 'em a read!

Three more chapters in Ragashingo's Bite-Sized Backstory series have been posted, so it's time to remind you about them again. The battle is joined; Oryx (Auryx/Aurash) and his sisters take on the Ecumene. What does this all mean? Go read 'em!

When Ragashingo started posting his 'Bite-sized Backstory' essays, I promised to keep you informed as new ones came out. I've been lax. (To be fair, I was out of state - and mostly off the internet - when 7, 8, and 9 came out... but still.) If you haven't read any of these, you should start at the beginning: Raga's been telling the backstory of Destiny in a way that the average person, who might not have time to go through ALL the Grimoire cards (and figure out their order), can understand. He's also been doing a nice job of keeping track of updates himself, so once you start reading them on our forum, you can easily step through to the end. However, I'm STILL going to link to the last 6 he's posted... because I want all of the pieces linked in our database as well.

A couple of weeks ago, we mentioned Ragashingo's Bite-sized Backstory series, a novel approach to the Destiny Grimoire. There was a promise of periodic reminders, as the series continued. Looks like the period is 3 episodes, because last night he posted Episode 6, and today we're gathering the new ones. Again - this is a way of understanding the backstory of Destiny, as presented in the Grimoire cards, without trying to figure out the proper order, and sometimes without having to interpret. A fantastic reference!
Ragashingo is doing his best to make the backstory of Destiny, as presented in the Grimoire cards, more accessible to the rest of us. A few days ago, he started a series on our forum called 'Bite-sized Backstory' - and it contains easily-digestible chunks of the Destiny universe, with sources (if you want to check up on his facts). They're not Pentatonix, they're not Peter Hollens... but they have something nobody else has: a version of "Mary, Did You Know" that focuses on your favorite Light-Eater this holiday season. Husky Raid, the Destiny clan known for its in-game dance extravaganzas (check out this article for some fun backstory), has released a beautiful rendition of a modern Christmas classic. Go listen. Beorn stopped by the forum yesterday to announce that the latest Starside Lounge (recorded last weekend) has been released - Beorn, Xenos, Leviathan and Speedracer were joined by SquidNH3 for a great two-hour discussion that covers everything from Challenge Mode to Sparrow Racing. You can listen to it on YouTube, or just drop by the Starside Lounge archive and stream it from there. There's a giveaway buried in there, as well - and if you're interested in a Destiny sketchbook, it's a pretty simple entry process. You have until Monday to get in the running, so go listen!
Sage, Sandbox Extraordinaire at Bungie, has written up a preview of the patch coming next week focusing on the changes being made to Titan subclasses, most of which are concentrated on the Sunbreaker class. There's data, charts and more to back up Bungie's direction - go read!
Creating panoramic shots in Bungie games has been a thing for many years, and we've even highlighted a few - but there's a huge batch that's new to me. Over on reddit, THConer posted a link to a few dozen of them, many of which were created before TTK dropped. Thanks to dogcow, I finally got to see them! You should, too. They're beautiful. And THConer's reddit post shows you how to make your own.
Ragashingo experienced an ectoplasmic event the other day and lived to tell DBO about it! In the Hall of Vanguards he caught sight of a "ghost bird" and was able to record it. It's a little hard to see, but you can probably find it after a couple of viewings. If you ARE having trouble seeing it, Beorn's pointed it out for you!

Bungie has posted the teaser for the latest Twitch Reveal. This one will focus on patrol mode on the Dreadnaught as well as the new public events called Court of Oryx. Watch below, and then come back tomorrow to watch the twitch stream (11am PDT/2PM EDT):

Bungie has revealed the teaser trailer for tomorrows Twitch stream, which will show off a new strike from The Taken King. You can get a little taste of the story behind the strike, and even hear Nolan North's take on Ghost! Watch it below:
