Prop maker Zander Brandt has created highly detailed hand cannon replicas fit for any gunslinger. The Hawkmoon is particularly cool and I wouldn’t mind owning one myself! You can check out Zander’s blog to see how he built these weapons. (via Kotaku)
Bungie's Swat-like mode for the Crucible, Inferno, returns today at 11AM Pacific. Last time it was with Control gametypes, now it's Clash. More details at B.Net. Thanks Blackt1g3r!
Ready Up Live's latest podcast (Episode 23) tries very hard to stay away from Destiny discussion... but fails miserably. (Starting around 35 minutes, the last half is pretty much all Destiny.) While we sympathize with their inability to remain firm on their commitment to discuss other games, we're happy that Destiny forces its way in. Go listen! (Thanks, CruelLEGACEY.)
Ooh, almost forgot this - found it yesterday. Check out the Lego Gjallarhorn created by ZaziNombies... it's simply gorgeous. In the thread on our forum about it, slycrel suggested you check out his 'The Last Word' model, too. (He's right.)
CruelLEGACEY has taken advantage of a split-second delay that occurs after exiting the menu wherein your HUD has yet to appear to capture some screenshots of the Vault of Glass. There's some neat shots in his gallery and it's just plain refreshing to see screens without distractions. Here's to a Theater mode in Destiny 2!
SKSProps is obviously talented if you take a look through his DeviantArt gallery. I'm not sure if this Mask of the Third Man recreation inspires me or terrifies me! He's also got another Hunter helm, a lot more shots of this Mask, and he's recently started a chest piece.
It's been a little while since we mentioned the Guardians of Destiny (it was all the way back in November, actually), but we're doing it again - and not just because they had me on as a guest. Episode 97 was recorded last night, and topics of discussion included Destiny's place in the Bungie universe, Xur's randomness, and the underappreciated glory of Destiny's Grimoire. Go listen! The DBO Admin Team challenged the Destiny Community last night in the Crucible, and despite DeeJ's best efforts, we managed to deny most fireteams of the exclusive loot. One fireteam who did manage to secure the bounty though was from our very own forums! Beorn has posted the match on Youtube:

"Last night a top flight fireteam from the website Destiny.Bungie.Org (not to be confused with Bungie.net, the official website of Bungie Inc. the company that created classic games like Marathon, Myth, Oni, and Halo) gathered on the aging Xbox 360 platform and hunted for what is known as the Bungie Bounty. In said bounty, a team needed to be randomly matched up with the designated bounty team and beat them in a round of Destiny's (Bungie's newest game) multiplayer mode known as The Crucible.
Defending the bounty (and representing the forces of The Darkness (THE DARKNESS! THE DARKNESS!) were Louis Wu (AKA: Claude, looooong time head honcho at Bungie.org (which should still not be confused with Bungie.net), Beorn (a webdesigner best known for DungeonGrid.com (that could be true!)), XenosKB (the fastest news gather in the north, south, east, west, and middle!), Gwath Gil (aka: Leviathan, perhaps best known for his new and ongoing indie comic Mayflower(www.mayflowercomic.com)), and Malagate (the guy not sporting a Bungie related emblem...). Also with them was DeeJ, Bungie's (.net's not .org's) esteemed community manager.
Representing the forces of The Light were: Up North 65, Speedracer513, BeardFade, ChaosSociety, iconicbanana, and the every popular, beloved, fantastic storyteller and all around great guy Ragashingo.
The battle between these two diametrically opposed forces was a tense one with the lead shifting back and forth multiple times. Fortunately, for all concerned, The Light, a team consisting entirely of Hunters as they were hunting for the Bungie Bounty, prevailed and banished The Darkness (THE DARKNESS! THE DARKNESS!) back to the shadows. Notable moments were where multiple members of The Darkness (THE DARKNESS! THE DARKNESS!) flung themselves off the play area realizing that it was the better way to go, and Beorn's especially bad aim with rockets that let at least three members of The Light live to fight on.
While things started out bleak for The Light, they eventually managed to rally in the third half of the match with their hero, Ragashingo, delivering the last kill of the game against cheating Mythoclast user Beorn with his trusty modified Tex Mechanica hand cannon "The Last Word."
It truly was the last word, at least for the forces of The Light who graciously stepped out of matchmaking giving those who sided with The Darkness (THE DARKNESS! THE DARKNESS!) a much needed, easy, soothing win."

After The Last Word was Xurred last weekend, iconicbanana showed us a fan-made prop he found through Reddit, created by Sloan. There's some shots of a few custom Ghosts in the maker's blog post, too!

The DBO Xbox crew made some raid noise this weekend, so "Team Cody Miller" is heading up a PS4 DBO Vault of Glass "Hard Mode" run next weekend! Start time is Saturday (Oct. 11) at 9:00am PST. If you think you're up to the challenge, check Cody's forum post for requirements and signups!

Destiny has been deployed and this week we officially come to you LIVE from the Tower. This week we catch you up on the latest news surrounding the game and then dive in to our first impressions of the game. With one week under our belts we have a lot to say about Bungie’s shared world shooter. We share both the good and the bad but see that this is clearly a fantastic starting point for what is sure going to be one hell of a ride for the next 10 years.
One stage of your journey may be over, but another is about to begin. The first of the new Raid levels, the ultimate gauntlet for your proven Fireteam to run, opens on Venus at 2:00 AM Pacific on Tuesday, September 16th. You'll need to be at least level 26 to attempt it. Also, the game will save your progress for a week if you keep your Fireteam leader consistent. Go read a bit more at Bungie.Net and then get back to hunting that sweet, sweet Light!
