Sometimes, Wednesday bleeds into Friday. (Hey, it's been a busy week!) roland let us know that Guardian Radio Episode 55 hit the interwebs - special guest this time around is Datto, of DattoDoesDestiny. Pretty interesting 'cast! Go listen, if you haven't already.
Roland is rolling out (get it?) the next season of Guardian Radio with this one so while I can't listen to it at the moment, I'm sure the news recaps and ensuing discussion will be worth a listen! Direct link to its spot on their site is... here.
roland let us know that The Guardians of Destiny have released their 50th podcast - and while there's not a huge amount of Destiny content (because there's not a lot of Destiny news this week), there is some fun stuff. Read his post for details, and links!
Guardian Radio gets a new episode... and a new format. You can listen to it as usual from their website - or you can watch it on YouTube. (That opening is... impressive.) The new Bungie Podcast is out and is well worth your auditory investment, as Deej, Urk, and Halcylon talk holiday breaks, winter builds, Deej's memorial, and side-stepping supers with special guests Tyson Green and Lars Bakken, who specialize in making a game you'll want to fall in love with over and over again. It's an awesome listen, so go download it already!
Almost four years ago, NsU Soldier noticed some signage in Halo 3: ODST that he thought might be an easter egg pointing to future Bungie development... but it wasn't until today, in a short piece over at GameInformer, that Bungie's Chris Barrett publicly admitted he was right. Cool stuff!
Guardian Radio has returned for 2014! Episode 43 is 2 hours long, and covers the GameInformer info dump, a True/False segment, and some debate about competitive multiplayer - Go listen! Thanks to roland, as usual, for the heads-up.

Game Informer has posted a very enlightening interview with Bungie co-founder and design director Jason Jones. It's a fascinating look at the studio's vision for Destiny, from the inspiration behind the game's core concept to the story goals that drive every aspect of Bungie's world-building efforts. Unfortunately, Guardian Radio was on break this week, so the Bungie crew will have to suffice. DeeJ, Urk, and Halcylon are joined by Jennifer Ash, Associate User Researcher, and Tom Slattery, Localization Content Manager, to discuss how Bungie is building Destiny for a wide variety of players. We missed this when it was posted last week, but Episode 92 of the Playstation Blogcast continues the podcast's pattern of Bungie love with an appearance by environmental artist Coolie Callahan. Skip to 1:10:30 if you just want to hear the interview, which lasts for roughly 9 minutes. Fascinating stuff!
Narcogen and Blackstar take a close look at the Moon trailer for the latest episode of the Anger, Sadness, Envy podcast at Rampancy.net - and they take some time for other recent Destiny news. Two weeks ago, Urk made an appearance on the PlayStation Blogcast for a fascinating discussion on his role as Community Manager. The next episode of the podcast debuted last week and featured another interview with a Bungie employee: Josh Hamrick! His segment starts at around 13:50 and lasts for roughly ten minutes. Go listen to the Senior Gameplay Designer talk about his verbs, his favorite guns, and how he landed a job at our favorite game studio!
An updated Destiny release window was announced quietly at the end of the Moon trailer from this morning. Previously just "2014", the new release window is now "Spring 2014".
If the Destiny Beta has a similar lead time to the Halo 3 and Reach Betas, then we can probably expect the Beta in early Winter and a final release in mid-to-late Spring. Does anyone have a cryo chamber I can borrow for 3–4 months?
Destiny Updates took his time and broke down the Bungie Podcast - his summary boils down the hourlong discussion to an 11 minute series of highlights. As always, he's done a fantastic job of paying close attention and teasing interesting tidbits from Bungie's intentionally vague hints, tying together older info with new content. Go give it a watch!
In the interest of speeding up processing, TeamBeyond's aPK has summarized the hour-plus Bungie podcast released Tuesday to a four-and-a-half minute recap, hitting all the high points. If you can't find the time to listen to the podcast itself, this vid should help you figure out what you missed.

Ragashingo ends the first run of Speculation Saturday (until there's more to dissect in the future) by shifting gears and throwing the spotlight on Destiny's actual gameplay: Combat, A.I., Fireteams, and all that jazz.
