Do you know about marking materials for collection? If you don't, it highlights what you're looking for. Take screws, you find that in clocks, so now you'll see every clock lit up slightly.

On a side note, it took me ages to realize that those things were broken down into their component parts automatically when stored in the workbench. I looked for like an hour trying to figure out how to break crap down for materials.

I love the crafting system and the settlement building aspects, but holy crap do they do a bad job explaining it. And by bad job, I mean it's non existent. They don't tell you shit!
