I meant to address this too, but forgot. His restaurant analogy sucks (it’s the part that made me turn off the video the first time). You can fix a problem with a meal that’s made to order on an individual basis. That’s not possible when designing a game. He’s assuming that Bungie listening to fan complaints means that they’re listening to the folks that share his complaints. He’s at Wendy’s, lamenting the fact that he can’t get a nice steak dinner.

"The car can't be a lemon, the steering wheel is gorgeous, and the power steering is so smooth! Who cares if the mechanic says that the transmission is failing! I love turning this steering wheel!"

It’s almost the exact opposite of that. It’s more like my Mustang. Yeah, the interior sucks, filled with mediocre materials and parts from the parts bin, but the car is sexy as hell, sounds fucking incredible, not the fastest thing on the planet but still pretty fast, and overall just really fun to drive.
