Sage, Sandbox Extraordinaire at Bungie, has written up a preview of the patch coming next week focusing on the changes being made to Titan subclasses, most of which are concentrated on the Sunbreaker class. There's data, charts and more to back up Bungie's direction - go read!
Stuntmutt felt like it was Christmas after he finished the Warpriest Challenge. (I felt the same.)
Creating panoramic shots in Bungie games has been a thing for many years, and we've even highlighted a few - but there's a huge batch that's new to me. Over on reddit, THConer posted a link to a few dozen of them, many of which were created before TTK dropped. Thanks to dogcow, I finally got to see them! You should, too. They're beautiful. And THConer's reddit post shows you how to make your own.
Mig noticed the newest edition of Destiny Legal News, posted by reddit's Legal Guardian, ACbullman23. You can find more of these in the Destiny subreddit there. (This guy was also involved in a dustup a few months ago, between the Guardians of the Tower and Xûr - absolutely worth a read.) I needed a laugh this morning - if you do, too, go read!
Stuntmutt is firing on all cylinders today - so be warned!
Stuntmutt has an early Vault of Farce for us this week. I guess the incentives for the Refer-a-Friend program could have been… different.
Bungie launched the Destiny Refer-a-Friend program earlier today. Bring a new friend to the world of Destiny and together you can earn a new sword, shader, sparrow, emblem, and two new emotes! Check out the trailer video below and sound off in the forum.
Sounds like Stuntmutt has been LFG raiding lately...
At the same time that the Iron Banner kicked off this morning, a new update dropped - swing by Bungie.net to read all of the details. (You can read them in our Patch Notes Archive, as well, if you'd rather.) Lots of little fixes and tweaks, but the biggest bits of news are incorporated into the title: Banshee-44 is now selling Weapon Parts, and many Crucible quests have been streamlined and smoothed out. Worth your time to read!
Bungie posted previews of the gear Lord Saladin will be selling this week on their Twitter and FaceBook accounts yesterday.
The weapons on offer are the Finnala's Peril hand cannon and the Bretomart's Stand heavy machine gun.
The armor offerings will be the arms and chest pieces for each class.
Bungie said we can expect Iron Banner to open up in connection with Update 2.0.2, which should go live at approximately 10:00 am PST - so keep an eye out for those patch notes this morning as well!
Destiny is showing up in the weirdest of places these days, as Luke Timmins of Bungie pointed out on Twitter.
Stuntmutt is wondering where his free time took off to...
As always, a local copy is available to read here as well.
And Bungie's got them for you over at B.Net. General fixes, fewer notifications, Grimoire stat corrections, and the Gear Manager unleashed!
CruelLEGACY continues his series of funny takes on Destiny life but this time he's giving us five cartoons for the price of one!
Go read his forum post to see the rest of them!
He truly is a man of parts. (Thanks, Stuntmutt.)
BeardFade knows what he's doing in CSS (that's something to do with the Internet - not a class of Covenant battleship!) and he's decided to put those skills to use in some neat web animations featuring each logo of the Destiny classes. Go check them out in his forum post!
CruelLegacy continues his comedy comics!
DBO took a long Halloween vacation - apologies for the lack of news!
First things first: there's last Thursday's Bungie Weekly Update which features important info for the newest iteration of Trials of Osiris, print-out Destiny masks, and more. You can read it here at DBO as usual.
Stuntmutt asks, "What could be more appropriate than the sound of groaning?"
Halloween is in full swing at the Tower! Log in to Destiny, grab a mask, get a candy bag and get questing! While there's a few new cosmetic microtransactions if you're interested, there's still plenty to do and see for free! Check out Beorn's post in the forum for more screenshots and videos and read some tips on the best ways to enjoy this fun little event.
Black Six let us know about an article on The Brothers Brick featuring Nick Jenson's custom Arc Edge that he built out of LEGO pieces. Not sure if that thing would fall apart if you hit something or someone... or just hurt like heck!
Some of us have more trouble than others in the Raid. Thanks, Stuntmutt.
Penny Arcade has had a number of their comic strips reference Destiny in the past, but this new one almost made me shed a tear of admiration for all the Fallen I've slaughtered! Thanks to SigbiasSilva for pointing it out in our forum.
Apparently there's a new Star Wars movie or something coming out, and CruelLEGACY had some fun combining a squadron of Destiny jumpships and the nostalgia of a classic. Biggs would have been proud!
