Community member CruelLEGACY has been working on a website (currently in beta) dedicated to thoroughly covering every nuance of Destiny's Raids. He just let the forum know that he has finished up a multi-part walkthrough of the Vault of Glass with text and videos (images and maps are inbound later).
As well as feedback, he's looking for contributions. Little reference guides to specific tools found in the Raids, tips and tricks, or anything that could be of help to a newbie or experienced Raider. This site is meant to be cumulative in its ambition, so visit the submission page to help out if you have the wisdom!

Speaking of pentathlons, Bungie had their annual event last week. If you're not familiar with it, it's a long-running tradition of forming the studio into teams based on seniority and letting have at each other in a number of different games (by Bungie and by others). This Bungie.Net article will introduce you to the teams and the games, and you can look back on Bungie's Twitter to see who won what!
A little behind, but the latest BWU tackles Crota's upcoming Hard Mode (which opens next Wednesday) as well as a sample of the rewards (which are quite tantalizing). The update also contains a preview of the Bungie Pentathlon and the usual "What's Up DOC?" section.
We weren't expecting it until tomorrow, but the new Destiny Hot Fix landed today, bringing the current version to 1.1.0.3. Lots of fixes for the most notable exploits in the Crota's End raid, as well as some Crucible adjustments ahead of this week's Iron Banner event. Despite the Crota fixes, it seems that some glitches are still exploitable—for the time being, at least. (Thanks, CougRon).
Rampancy has released their latest Let's Play Destiny video with episode #35 wherein they tackle one of Eris's post-mission quests. In my absence, I missed mentioning episodes 32: Siege of the Warmind, 33: The Wakening, and 34:The Extermination as well, so be sure to check out any you may have missed while the Darkness had me cornered.
Looks like Destiny takes the cake for two categories in Game Informer awards list published today! Destiny takes Best Shooter and Best Cooperative Multiplayer for 2014.
Destiny has won the community-voted PlayStation.Blog 2014 Game of the Year award! (Thanks to Kermit in the forums for the heads-up).
Bungie didn't forget about us during the holiday season. Head to your post office and check out the gift they've left for you! (It's a random legendary weapon) then go share what you got on the forum! Thanks to petetheduck for pointing it out!
It's been an eventful year for DBO, from the exciting ramp up to the launch, with DBO TV, podcasts, conventions and conferences, and good ol' rampant speculation - to the actual release of the game this site is dedicated to!
Whether you've been delving into chests under Martian sands or Titan-smashing enemy teams into crumbling particles, we hope you've had a good one. And if it was so-so or crappy, well, there's another year right around the corner to start fresh!
Although its creator, Beorn, dropped a hint of this new tool a few days ago, there hasn't been a proper frontpage post on it yet!
With the new Fireteam Builder, you can help schedule an event with other members of the community to take down Atheon or Crota, or tackle other challenges in Destiny. Read this post for more details.
Another good reason to join the DBO community!
The news-wheels are slowly spinning back up from the holidays, although there's still New Years and another Christmas I have to attend. Not really a bad thing, that is! Anyways...
Rampancy's taking their Let's Play series forward into the new DLC with a video of encountering Eris for the first time and playing through the first level, Fist of Crota:
We've got TWO episodes of Rampancy's Let's Play series in the queue -both dealing with the final battles of Destiny's first raid. Enjoy!

Is a Gold Box like a Gold Chest? If it is, this is way better than a Jade Rabbit insignia. We heard over the grapevine that Destiny on PS4 and Xbox One is half off at Amazon today! This may be US only.
Go see Bungie.Net's post for the details, then jump onto Destiny and start destroying your poor innocent opponents. Or be destroyed by them, like me!. You can earn level 31 gear now.

Bungie usually has neat, comically-illustrated holiday cards for their studio and this year is no different!
Urk Tweeted this beautifully teasing piece yesterday.
