Stuntmutt had some of the same issues this week as you did.
In a similar style to the Become Legend trailer back at launch, we're gotten another live-action, rocking, ad! Take a gander below or go discuss with CougRon in our forums.
Bungie has posted the patch notes for Destiny Update 2.0.0, in preparation for next week's release of The Taken King. The list is monstrously long, so either swing by Bungie.net to read it, or check it out here in our own Patch Notes Archive - but either way, take a look, because this will affect almost everything you do in the game!
I realized today that this trailer had not been officially released until yesterday, it was shown during the Twitch stream last week! So for those of you that haven't seen it (and that aren't too worried about spoilers), here's the latest story trailer for The Taken King:
Guarded Guardian:
Yesterday's update recaps the recent reveals and shows off a new Crucible trailer letting us know that all Guardians, whether or not you bought The Taken King, will have access to the new Crucible maps for a limited time as a preview. There's also some patch notes on more of the changes coming in 2.0, news that the Moments of Triumph deadline has been slightly extended, and some tips in there on how to prepare for Taken King. Local copy is here and you can always discuss/debate the news in our forums here!

Last but not least, another trailer was released today for the Taken King, featuring more glimpses of cinematics, gameplay, and Led Zeppelin.
These two videos have also been quietly sitting in our news queue, but they definitely deserve to see the light of day! If you're in Destiny withdrawal, have at them:
So we missed posting the Bungie Weekly Update last week. It's actually been sitting in our BWU archive but we didn't tell you about it. I'm going to blame all of our admin that was having fun at PAX this weekend and not me, sitting at home not really doing anything but crying.
The update reiterates on the Dreadnaught Strike reveal from earlier last week, the upcoming Edge magazine's cover story, and most importantly (and divisively) reveals changes to Nighfall and Heroic Strikes coming in 2.0.
We recorded Starside Lounge Episode 7 earlier this week and it’s finally published for your listening pleasure! Beorn, Xenos, Claude, and ncsuDuncan talk about the Destiny Year Two Twitch stream, more game industry coverage of The Taken King, and we reveal our giveaway winner from the previous episode! Oh, and Beorn tries to spread misinformation but Xenos and ncsuDuncan do their best to quash it. Check it out below or listen to it with your favorite podcast player!
In the latest content from Game Informer, Bungie discusses how Year 1 of Destiny is shaping the future of Destiny. An interesting video with what they were thinking while developing the game as well as what is influencing them for the future of the game. Thanks to Cyber for pointing it out on the forum.
Bungie's next Twitch Reveal is today at 11AM PDT/2PM EDT, and this week they are showing off the new Cabal themed strike Shield Brothers! You can watch it below:
It's that time of year again, when eager fans from all over gather together to meet up with friends and celebrate their favorite games. Yes, football season is a very special time of year and I always enjoy the sense of community it brings. I suppose the Penny Arcade Expo is fun too.
If you happen to be in Seattle this weekend (for PAX or otherwise) and want to meet up with your fellow DBO members, make your way to Garage Billiards at 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 29th. There you can join us for an evening of bowling, billiards, beers, and burgers. Heck, we might even stop talking about football to discuss some other game. (More details in this forum post.)
Xbox and Playstation revealed a trailer today for the Legendary Edition of The Taken King. Nothing big shown in the trailer, but still a cool video. Watch below:
Bungie has revealed the teaser trailer for tomorrows Twitch stream, which will show off a new strike from The Taken King. You can get a little taste of the story behind the strike, and even hear Nolan North's take on Ghost! Watch it below:
Didn't pay much attention to Destiny's story? Didn't read the Grimoire? Or just didn't follow it's vagueness? Well Game Informer has you covered! Today's article in their month long coverage summarizes the story of the base game and both expansions, as well as the lore you can only find in the Grimoire (and there may even be a few hints about story to come). Give it a read if you're not confident in your knowledge! (Thanks Dooskey for pointing it out on the forum).
Today's Game Informer coverage comes by way of a developer walkthrough of the Crucible map Vertigo coming in The Taken King. Lots of detail and lots of commentary on their design decisions. Go take a look! (Thanks Korny for pointing it out!)
