IGN has a couple new stories up today. The first discusses some interesting changes coming to the Crucible, including increased Crucible Mark drops and experience gains. The second reports that The Dark Below Crucible maps will be free for all players when House of Wolves arrives in a few weeks. (Thanks, bluerunner!)
Bungie released a teaser for the Twitch stream reveal of Trials of Osiris, coming in next month's House of Wolves Expansion. (We put up a local copy, as well.) Be sure to tune in to their Twitch stream tomorrow, at 11am Pacific, with Bungie hosts Derek Carroll and Lars Bakken, and community guest tripleWRECK, for all the details!
While the above is most relevant right now, Dulcamarra has other cute Destiny-related cartoons on their DeviantArt, like below. Discovered via Hedge!
Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, as well as the Sledgehammer audio design team, answered questions on the G.A.N.G. awards Twitch stream after the 1:39 mark. There's some great questions and insight into their industry and field, as well as some specific thoughts on Destiny's (and Halo's) audio, and what exactly working with Paul McCartney meant to the team and the game.
CruelLEGACEY decided to test out his Hunter in the Crucible. Watch as he tears through Guardian after Guardian!
Yeah, Stuntmutt HAD to go there..
The Bungie Weekly Update is live and is chock full of House of Wolves information. There’s a concise summary of what Bungie presented during the live-stream of the Reef (the stream is also archived). There’s also an update on the changes being made to commendations with the release of HoW - woo! The next Iron Banner will start with the weekly reset and DeeJ has the scoop on what gear you’ll be working towards. Be sure to also check out the latest Destiny support update! Lastly, don’t forget to tune in on April 29th at 11am PST for a first look at the Trials of Osiris. (For those who need it, it's local, too.)
Did you miss the Twitch Stream from Bungie earlier today? Luckily our forum has you covered. Go check out the second by second summary of the stream, and then go give us your thoughts on what was shown! And make sure you check the expansion's official site to see some newly revealed images (Thanks CyberKN!). (You can also watch the recorded stream on Twitch!)

Bungie has posted a teaser for the House of Wolves Twitch stream happening tomorrow at 11 am PDT:
There's also a shot-by-shot breakdown over at Planet Destiny with some interesting analysis. We're going to find out a lot more tomorrow, though! (Thanks, CyberKN) [Edit: Beorn doesn't like to check, but we have a local copy, as well, if you need it.]
When you follow Hedgem0ny on Twitter, you stay in the loop regarding art and Destiny. James Yavorsky updated his ArtStation with some of his character art in Destiny...
...and Dorje Bellbrook has updated his page with work on the Warmind bunker seen in the Dark Below as well as a few other cool shots like below:
Also, Bungie updated their artists reference page with some shots of the Queen - so go look!
The folks from IGN gathered to discuss the absence of a Raid in the House of Wolves expansion pack. There’s some interesting discussion about why the decision was made and whether or not Bungie owe's the player base a free Raid. Go listen/watch!
Stuntmutt is looking forward to the House of Wolves:
Fallout stopped by with his latest Destiny PVP guide - this one focuses on the Bladedancer. Fallout gets fairly in-depth regarding the Bladedancer’s abilities and provides some tips on how to successfully use these abilities on the battlefield. Go cut some fools!
Prop maker Zander Brandt has created highly detailed hand cannon replicas fit for any gunslinger. The Hawkmoon is particularly cool and I wouldn’t mind owning one myself! You can check out Zander’s blog to see how he built these weapons. (via Kotaku)
Destiny 1.1.2 is now in the wild. Want to know what's in it? Read the patch notes! (They're local, too, of course.) A discussion has broken out on our forum. This one's big (it's got a lot of the stuff that's coming later in House of Wolves), so if you have play plans tonight, you might want to account for a multi-gig download first.
From Bungie's Twitter feed:
Update 1.1.2 will deploy to your consoles tommorow morning, Pacific. The wait is over. Stay tuned for the Launch. pic.twitter.com/Y6HQLQb4v5

Badass Gaming put together a trailer for 'Competitive Race Mode' - I'm loving it. Watch the trailer!
Korny dropped in with a fantastic idea - a new Exotic Quest, involving some interesting ideas about changes to the questing procedure, and ending up with a pretty amazing-looking weapon. Go read it - I sort of wish there were ways for fan ideas to be integrated into the future of Destiny!
Let's catch up on a few fan creations this morning - it was a busy week last week. First up, Mid7night printed out some of his designs in metal (we mentioned them last year when he first whipped them up) - they look fantastic! Consider snagging one for yourself! (Links are in his forum post.)
In case you missed yesterday, Bungie had an April Fool's trick up their sleeve over on Bungie.net. Visiting a player's Legend unveiled some funky dance moves (and lighting to match). We recorded some video for historical purposes.
LadyDesiree continues her excellent piano arrangements of Destiny tunes, the latest being "The Traveler". Significantly different from the original, this version really builds up climatically!
