Hot Fix Patch Notes - Preparing for the Dark Below

Only a handful of more hours till we get our hands (thanks Beorn!) on Destiny's first expansion, so Bungie's pushing through a little update in expectation of it including bug fixes and increased difficulty levels for daily and weekly activities.

Deej Talks, You Listen - Story, Raid, Vaults & More

IGN caught up with Deej at PSX 2014, and let him elegantly ramble for a bit. It's a great little interview and really drives home that there isn't any chance that Bungie's ignoring players' wants and complaints. The Dark Below sounds like its going to be a step in the right direction in terms of a more sucinct and connected story. Deej also touches on possibly expanding your vault, the approach to the new Raid, and more. (Thanks Fuzzle)

Destiny Beats RNG at Game Awards

The Game Awards were held last night (with a familiar composer in charge of the music) and Destiny managed to win two awards, Best Online Experience and Best Soundtrack! You can watch a replay of the event, or just see who the rest of the winners were.

Dev Team Releases Dark Below Notes

Bungie's Dev Team just released a list of some of the upcoming changes happening to Destiny's gameplay and loot/upgrade systems - some of which happened in last patch, some of which will be happening when the Dark Below hits next week. Game Informer has a new piece online divulging some of the goodies they have in their latest issue regarding Destiny. Lots of info on The Dark Below, including new ways to upgrade your old Exotics, how story missions will be crafted into the Eris's narrative, and more!

Art of Destiny Un-Delayed

Okay, so we have mentioned the upcoming Art of Destiny hardcover and when it's coming out a couple of times, and last time it was regarding its delay until February... Well, Amazon now shows the book coming out tomorrow. There's also a couple of sample pages on the product page now, so it feels somewhat legitimate.

Hope For the Future - Release Date

Paul McCartney has announced via his blog that his single for Destiny will be released December 8th with four different mixes of "Hope For the Future" (in addition to the standard version) included in the package. Thanks Black Six!

The Blades of Crota Have Invaded!

Ooh, looks like there was more to yesterday's update than what the patch notes suggested! Reports are filtering in from Guardians across the Cosmodrome; they speak of dark rituals, Blades of Crota, and relics. Check it out! (Thanks to JDQuackers in the forum)

Patch 1.1: The One About Exotics. And the Raid!

Bungie has posted the patch notes for the 1.1 update that's deploying this morning. Lots of changes to Exotics, material gathering, and a few touch-ups to the Vault of Glass before the  expansion hits next week!

Flawless Cowboys

The DBO PS4 raiding crew earned the elusive Flawless Raider trophy yesterday–with a fireteam of five, nonetheless! CruelLEGACY has a great write-up over on Ready Up Live, complete with videos from multiple perspectives. Congrats, guys!

Post-Turkey Catch-Up

Still have yet another Thanksgiving tomorrow (not that free turkey is something to complain about), but here's some of the news we've missed:

• The latest Bungie Weekly Thursdate was posted Wednesday (what?). Not too much to ignite your fire since the holiday was on approach, but hey, you're not doing anything, so go read it. The biggest thing to gleam is the Black Friday sale at the Bungie Store.
• Xur is in town (our illustrated Xur post will return next weekend after the ham disappears). Go read ChaosSociety's post to see a few things he's willing to trade - I need to go get a Plan C, personally!
  
• CruelLEGACEY dropped off some fanart he made - go look!
  

The Feedback Loop

Pete Parsons talks to GamesIndustry.biz about Bungie's approach to Destiny post-release. Nothing really new if you've been keeping up with the patches and recent Thursdates, but it's a great summary of what's been fixed or added, and how they'll continue to listen to players and build alongside their experiences. I know that's Pete's job, but I can't but feel happy about their dedication. Thanks rliebherr!

DrCrispy 93 Barrel Rolls Into the Dark Below

Wow, this actually slipped by me because I thought it WAS a fan creation. This new trailer is definitely a creative way to introduce all the elements of the DLC and is voiced by one of the new SNL cast members. SigbiasSilva was first on our forum, and we apparently have a local copy here too!
