VentureBeat has an interview with Pete Parsons about where Destiny came from, and where it might be going, and what Pete's learned along the way. Great read!
akmigone posted a piano cover of the music from the Destiny Playstation 4 announcement trailer - it's really well done and quite uplifting!
osubluejacket posted a short speculation piece over at True Achievements on "what we really know, what we think we know, what wild speculation we can somewhat justify." Be sure to read through for the unusual analogies! (Thanks, Morpheus.)
Is this the first Destiny tattoo? Bungie.net user Malfar showed off his new Tricorn ink - let's hope he likes the game when it releases!
Not ones to let a gaming meme fade out, Kotaku has picked a familiar target for their weekly photoshop contest. The comments section is already filling up with a plethora of blazer-tagged, stiff-armed images. Check it out and submit your own!
BaghdadBean, one of the lucky One of Seven winners that got to tour Bungie's studio a few months ago, made a Destiny-themed bag to take on her trip. She writes:
When I found out that I would be going to Bungie for the One of Seven studio tour, I took the Geomantic symbols from the Bungie Day news posts and the Project Tiger symbol, and started making a new fabric design. After a week of haggling with it, I printed out a run of fabric, and set to making this Bean-Bag. I took this with me to the studio, and got all of the other One of Seven, plus every Bungie employee who I could corner with a magic paint pen, to sign it.

(bag pocket and more signatures)This will be placed in the RTX 2013 Side Quest Child's Play Charity Auction, and it is my sincere hope that it will raise enough money to put a smile on some deserving kid's face.
A cool project with a very charitable outcome. Thanks for sharing, Bean!
This morning, Polygon posted a short piece on concept artist Joe Cross. The article focuses on his work on Dead Space 3 while at Visceral Games, but also mentions his new job at Bungie creating concept art for Destiny. Sounds like we'll see a lot more Destiny art from Joe in the future, and judging by the Pike above it's going to look great!
DeeJ posted a new Mail Sack this afternoon over on Bungie.net. There's a smattering of questions from the community about the PS4 announcement, preorder bonuses, music, and there's even a schmancy group photo at the end! Go give it a read! Tell 'em DBO sent you.
Hedge pointed out some Kanji characters painted on a structure in the PS4 Destiny video and wondered about their meaning. There are a few interesting ideas floating around in the conversation.
Kotaku is mean. (I laughed, though.) Thanks, INSANEdrive.
Over at DestinyHub, Con took a really, really, REALLY close look at the PS4 announce video - go see what you missed. Screenshot central. Thanks, Hedge.
Did Hoovaloov find an easter egg in Bungie's ViDoc... or is he watching too many cat videos on the internet? You decide.
Xenos took screen captures of all the weapons shown in the Destiny PS4 Announcement trailer - apparently this game is a shooter. ;)
And here is what Bungie showed moments ago at the Sony PS4 reveal. Enjoy!
For those of you who haven't heard, Bungie just confirmed at the Sony PlayStation 4 reveal event moments ago that Destiny will be coming out for both the PS3 and PS4. No word yet on any release schedule, but they did confirm that there will be "exclusive playable content" for PlayStation users. We'll show what they showed as soon as we've got it!
According to Polygon, Marty O'Donnell was spotted at the NYC Sony Playstation 2013 event venue last night. Perhaps Destiny will make an appearence at today's Playstation briefing. You can catch the stream here at 3pm PST. Thanks, stabbim.
Robowski let us know that there's a new article up at Post Game Carnage Report - The Wach takes a look at the idea of fandom. Are you a fan of the GAME... or the STUDIO? If you were part of a Halo community, and you only have time for one passion... do you stick with Halo, or do you follow Bungie, and devote your time to Destiny? These are questions I'm not going to answer for myself (I'm multitasking right now, thank you)... but read The Wach's musings and see where you stand!
Gotta love Reddit denizens... thanks, MrPadraig08.
Hedge pointed out that Jaime Jones is finally able to take credit for some of the Destiny concept art he's created - keep an eye on his blog!
Narcogen went through the Destiny ViDoc frame-by-frame, and made a LOT of comments; swing by Rampancy.net (great to see it awake from its slumber!) and scroll through almost 90 pics and his observations!
MCV Nordic has an article talking about some middleware that will be integrated into Destiny - Umbra 3 is involved with automatic occluder generation (helping the game engine keep track of what's visible and what's not, so it doesn't have to draw stuff you can't see), and apparently many of the newest features were developed with feedback from Bungie directly. Fun!
Looks like a few more promotional materials have been spotted over at NeoGAF: Jarmel snapped a pic of the Destiny standee in his Gamestop, while HiredN00bs pointed out a (Europe exclusive?) Cabal variant of the pre-order poster.
MrGreencastle took a close look at a few frames from the recent Destiny ViDoc, and used what he found to speculate on what we might see down the road. Good stuff!
Penny Arcade's Ben Kuchera has a little more speculation about the potential for a PC version of Destiny, based on an interaction with Pete Parsons last week. Are we all thinking too much about this right now? Thanks, electricpirate.
