The PlayStation YouTube account has posted the Destiny #PS4share commercial that aired yesterday before Cosmos!
CraftingGeek is running a giveaway contest on her Twitter. Whether you try to win one of these prizes or not, they're quite adorable to look at:
There's a few more photos on her blog here.Pyromancy saw a 30 second TV spot on Fox tonight - it showed up right before the reboot of Cosmos, and it featured Destiny. When we find a copy of the ad, we'll let you know!
Nice fan art, Hedge.
Bungie's community team visited Europe this week - but they almost didn't make it. Go read the trials and tribulations in the latest Bungie Weekly Update! (It's in our Weekly Update Archive, as well, if you need it for any reason.) Thanks, Xenos.
Well I'm not sure that exact phrase will be on it , but Bungie's confirmed some form of map in Destiny:
"Planning" could imply just a traditional use of a map, or it could mean interactivity, like customizable waypoints a la ODST. Perhaps more? Go discuss/speculate in our forum.Xenos is looking to assemble some Bungie-lovers this Thursday on Halo 3 ("Arguably the greatest Bungie game ever made." - Leviathan Magazines), so clear your schedules and join some friends or friends-to-be in the chaos! There's nothing like bonding while you get picked off by a BR or surprised to death with dual Maulers.
Roland is rolling out (get it?) the next season of Guardian Radio with this one so while I can't listen to it at the moment, I'm sure the news recaps and ensuing discussion will be worth a listen! Direct link to its spot on their site is... here.
Destiny Updates stopped into our forum to announce "What We Know So Far", a massive, 40+ minute overview of all the details we've been given up to now. It's broken into sections, with handy timestamps in the YouTube description, for folks who don't have three quarters of an hour to sit and watch all in one sitting - but it's interesting enough to do just that. Go check it out!
Bungie has posted their latest Weekly Update - and it's absolutely worth a read. There are intriguing little hints, both in the main writeup and in the answers to the Mail Sack questions... but there's also a fantastic look back at the recent Bungie Pentathlon. Go read. (It's in our Weekly Update Archive, as well, if you need that.) Thanks, Xenos.
Gamespot has pored over the various details released about Destiny in the past few months, and pulled out seven facts that they think you may have missed. Go read their summary, and see how many you already knew!
The @DestinyTheGame twitter feed has been providing interesting tidbits about the various in-game characters for the past week or so... check out some of the details below!

roland let us know that The Guardians of Destiny have released their 50th podcast - and while there's not a huge amount of Destiny content (because there's not a lot of Destiny news this week), there is some fun stuff. Read his post for details, and links!
Post Game Lobby thinks that Bungie has pretty much guaranteed its success with Destiny - and is willing to elaborate. Give it a read.
Today marks that special time that comes every so often in the Winter season. A day when teams who usually work together instead split into factions and face off against one another in a friendly competition. The only treasure from their winnings? Everlasting glory.
What? No, it's not the USA/Canada Olympics hockey semi-final! We, of course, speak of the 2013-2014 Bungie Pentathlon, and Destiny appears to be front-and-center for most of the competition. The Bungie Twitter feed promises updates throughout the day, and there's an ongoing scoreboard in the Bungie.net news post. So whether you support the tried-and-true Grizzled Ancients, back either of the Schools, or root for the Newbies' fresh blood, be sure to keep an eye on those pages!
Update: DeeJ is also updating the Bungie Pentathlon group on Bungie.net, and it appears that one of the webcams has been deputized into covering the events of the day.
In a shocking turn of events, the Guardian Radio crew has released another episode of their Destiny podcast. I'm starting to think this is going to become a weekly thing...
A Forbes contributor wonders if new IPs like Destiny and Titanfall will be the deathknell for older IPs like Halo and Call of Duty. Our forum weighs in, as well. Speak up - what do YOU think?
Watch your fingers and definitely count your toes before playing with this Hunter knife Dietkrispy put together. (Yet another Hedgem0ny find.)
So if your mom was an artist at Bungie, would you have the coolest stuff on the planet? Well, duh. Lorraine McLees painted up a couple of gift boxes for her boys - Recon Number 54 did a fantastic job documenting the process for the box that has Halo art on it, but the second box has a gorgeous Destiny Hunter, and has had minimal exposure. These two composite pics were posted on Lorraine's Facebook feed, but they were only visible to friends, so we're making them more widely accessible (with her permission, of course). Check 'em out - click for larger (and more complete) versions!
