Oryx (er... C.G. Barrett, Bungie's Creative Director and maker of pretty things) brought attention to Ryan DeMita, another artist at Bungie, and his blog which has a new post on The Taken King. Go take a gander at some concepts, art for the special editions, and some of the frames done for the new animatics featured in the game.
What's Nightfall and Nightstalker have in common? They're the main focus of today's hot fix from Bungie! The extra shots given by Nightstalker's Quiver option have been disabled until a true fix can be created. As well, the Nightfall rewards have been adjusted for this week and the forseeable future. There's also some notes about the King's Fall Hard Mode and its own rewards so give it a look! (Local copy here.)
Meggon Woods let us know that she'd created this costume for Jaxx - first one she ever made! The helmet and the ghost are handmade. Fantastic!
What happens when new emotes drop the same time as a more-competitive multiplayer mode? Stuntmutt sent us a new Vault of Glass this morning with some ideas.
Along with the launch of Iron Banner and Tess's Eververse Trading Company, we're also getting Destiny Update 2.0.1 today. CougRon was first in our forum to bring it up, and you can read all the patch notes on Bungie.Net. There's quite a few tweaks and fixes to essentially every aspect of the game, so give it some attention. You can read a local copy here.

Ragashingo experienced an ectoplasmic event the other day and lived to tell DBO about it! In the Hall of Vanguards he caught sight of a "ghost bird" and was able to record it. It's a little hard to see, but you can probably find it after a couple of viewings. If you ARE having trouble seeing it, Beorn's pointed it out for you!
Deej bought in Senior Designer Derek Carroll to illuminate the changes to power differences in the new Iron Banner (which launches today). There's a fancy new chart showing the changes between all the Iron Banner updates since launch - the newest version sounding even more rigorous than ever!
Eep, almost forgot - Korny stopped in this morning with another of his Exotic concepts. This one's called 'Necromancer's Light', and it's a pair of Warlock Gauntlets that turns a Stormcaller into a serious medic. Pretty cool - check it out and let him know what you think!
CruelLEGACEY continues to post Staring at the Sun comics on our forum (and has even adopted Beorn's suggested title!) - two new ones went up this morning. Both made me chuckle.

CruelLEGACEY has started putting together some amusing Lighthouse-themed comics. He hasn't given it a name yet, but I thought the title of the first worked pretty well, "Staring at the Sun."

I struggle with deciding whether or not to post potential "spoilers" in the news feed, but it's beginning to look like there's a pattern to Daily missions with alternate endings. In the interest of keeping the DBO Community informed, we'll go ahead and start posting them.
Today's mission is Paradox from The Taken King and intrepid explorers found an interesting alternate ending to the mission, one that sends you through the much-analyzed portal at the end of the infamous Vault of Glass "jumping puzzle." (Thanks for the heads-up, TheeChaos!)

Okay, we're way behind on news. I know, we're the worst... But hey, check this cool thing out!
Tess Everis is making a return to The Tower next week, this time as CEO of the brand-new Eververse Trading Company. Her new wares begin with 18 new emotes for your Guardian, but she won't be taking your Glimmer; instead she'll accept Silver, a new in-game currency that is purchased (with real money) through your platform's online store.
The move to "micro-transactions" is certainly controversial, but Bungie plans to use this extra income stream to directly fund the Destiny Live Team, who will apparently be updating the live game with increased frequency in Year Two.
Our local cartoonist, Stuntmutt, let us know that BBC5 Live discussed Destiny: The Taken King on a recent broadcast that can be listened to here!
Bungie released a small Hot Fix today, bringing the version to 2.0.0.5. No big changes, but it did fix two issues that were plaguing players since the last hot fix. See the changes at Bungie.net or in our local update section.

We forgot to post about it yesterday, but the Weekly Update arrived with a review of King’s Fall raid top-ten and a blub from Senior Designer Andrew Weldon about the new Zone Control game type that we can find in the Weekly playlist. The weekly update was accompanied by patch notes for Destiny Update 2.0.0.4 which includes bug fixes and mitigation for Three of Coins farming rituals.
Stuntmutt's observations can be shocking, sometimes.
