UnrealCh13f got invited to the Microsoft Press Conference at E3 last month, and parlayed it into a full day of activities - and yesterday he wrote up that experience (with pictures!) and posted the result on our forum. After reading, I am reminded of Duncan's assertion that people are the greatest part of E3 - he's absolutely right, and UnrealCh13f's recap shows it clearly. Check it out!
This week's Mail Sack has landed, and it's a rather hefty one! Winners from the seven Bungie Day Challenges have been announced, and as always, there are a whole bunch of great questions from the community. Congratulations to the winners!
This isn't a Dragonball Online E3 interview, this is one man's coming-of-age story...well, not really. E3 2013 was an incredible experience and we wanted to share some of those experiences with you. Behold!
Hedge made this really cool comic book cover featuring a Hive character. Unfortunately for Hedge, he used our logo without permission - you'll be hearing from our lawyers shortly.
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has posted a very brief interview with Bungie artist Jaime Jones, whose piece "Back from the Wild" was included in the "2013 Into the Pixel" collection. Go read about his influences and advice!

The third and final part of Ryan McCaffrey's interview with Jason Jones is now available over on IGN. Today's discussion covers the lack of replay incentives in Halo, sheds some light on the ill-fated Phoenix project, gives us a few more hints at what we'll be experiencing in Destiny, and ends in a bit of a cliffhanger! If you missed the first and second parts of the interview, be sure to check those out first.
Bungie Week just keeps on giving! There's a new video up on Bungie.net today, titled Destiny: Building the E3 Reveal. If you haven't read Part One yet, be sure to start with that. Part Three will conclude the interview tomorrow morning.
Bungie Day is here, heralding the midpoint of Bungie Week, and with it comes a handful of short-fuse contests on the Bungie.net forum. Time is short - the deadline for submissions is TODAY. (Presumably midnight Pacific time, though you might be able to squeak by with an overnight entry.) Submissions will be judged by DeeJ's fellow employees, and each winner will receive a Destiny poster signed by Team Bungie. There are seven contests to enter, so visit the threads below for details on how to craft something legendary for each one:
If you were hoping for more on Bungie Day Actual, keep in mind that this year the festivities have been stretched to fill an entire Bungie Week:

Comforting words from Bungie.net! (Thanks, MrPadraig08.)
Bungie Week is in full stride, and IGN's Ryan McCaffrey has joined the celebration with Part One of his three-part interview with mythic Bungie co-founder Jason Jones. (Parts Two and Three will go live on Monday and Tuesday, so be sure to check back then for more of the story.) The article is a fascinating read, touching on Jason's role in the day-to-day operation of his growing company and how he approaches the design of a project as ambitious as Destiny. Discussion briefly moves to the legendary story of the Halo CE pistol and how Jason added some last-minute code to turn it into the deadly handcannon we love and fear. Blam! (Thanks, marmot 1333.)
We've been woefully behind on Destiny fan art coverage (our gallery has been in the works for literally MONTHS), but there are a couple that showed up recently that you should take a look at. Over at Bungie.net, Progo (who goes by Chrysoskies on DeviantART), pointed out his Destiny Devil Walker - pretty interesting style! While on our very own forum, Biwald unveiled his image, 'The Guardians' - inspired by a Jaime Jones concept piece, it's a really slick interpretation of a hunting Guardian! Check 'em both out.
Ragashingo decided to do a frame by frame analysis of the Destiny E3 demo - he provides a great deal of interesting speculation regarding story and gameplay. Join in on the conversation!
For the second day of Bungie Week festivities, Bungie has posted the Official Destiny Gameplay Reveal video to their YouTube page in all of it's HD glory. Also, be sure to check out the news post on Bungie.net.
The bumper at the end of the video also teases a "Building E3 Reveal" video, with a placeholder that says "Coming Soon". Hmm, I wonder what that's about... (Thanks, SigbiasSilva).

Eurogamer's Digital Foundry ran the Destiny E3 demo through their standard framerate test, and found that "even at this early, pre-production phase, overall performance is tight." Beyond just the framerate, though, they liked what they saw - go read the whole review! Thanks, broony.
