The Cosmodrome stuff we showed off at E3 is a tiny fraction of that space"
If there's one interview you read today, I say let it be this one. Broony let us know that Eurogamer decided to cut the crap and try to figure out what the heck this Destiny game is actually about with a volley of questions posed to Urk and David Dague, and hey, I think it worked!
...how do we take things from an MMO and pull them in without both confusing the s**t out of everyone when we try to tell them what it is?"
I came out feeling like I had much better idea of how Destiny is going to play, in terms of encountering other players in the Wild, branching game spaces, hanging out in the Tower, and much more. There's still plenty of unknown, but like Urk's said, Destiny is a different kind of a beast, and I think it's probably going to take jumping into the Beta to really understand it. In the mean time, there's a lot of nuggets in this one to hold you over!
IGN has also posted a chronicle of the rest of that interview, this one covering much more breadth. There's a lot of reiteration on previous topics, but it's interesting to read about Bungie's perspective on the GTA Online troubles and negative connotations often associated with MMOs (not that Destiny is one, but it definitely borrows elements).
As our local Quantum Entanglement Communicator, Xenos, pointed out, the article says the Destiny Beta will be out in February... though I have no idea how IGN concluded that. Update: Yep, Urk just dropped a line in our forum that the Beta has no official release date yet.
Playstation Access tackled Urk and Deej on the topic of the Moon, classes, exotic weapons, seamless social experiences and the Beta. Thanks, Xenos!
As announced on last night's episode of dboTV, we're currently running a contest where you can win one of the prints from Bungie's "Ghosts in the Machine" concept art gallery by participating in the Destiny Community's Extra Life campaign. Only 20 copies of the Exo image above (by Jaime Jones) were sold, so this is a pretty awesome prize Beorn snagged for the DBO community! For all of the details on how to enter, check out this post /Sekhmet/ left on our forum. Good luck!
Hedgemony found this awesome piece of Destiny fan art by GabeRose over at DeviantArt. Very cool art style!
PerseusSpartacus contributed a new piece of fan fiction to the queue today, the first in a new series. It follows a fireteam of Guardians as they face down a horde of Hive. Go read!
"In fact, at times I'm challenged when I look at something on a big screen and I think, 'was that current or next-gen?'" Osborne added.
Eurogamer spoke with Urk about how Destiny looks on current gen and next gen, what the differences are, and if the current gen is left in the dust. What he has to say sounds promising, no matter what console you're gearing towards. Urk even dropped a line on the same subject in our own forum earlier this week!
Our local smoke-signaler, Xenos, directed our attention to some questions Desti-Nation threw at Deej. Nothing really new, and a lot of Q's were posed at topics that have not been discussed or announced, but there's still a little meat to the conversation.
Our local telegrapher, Xenos, let us know that Bungie answered a few fan questions through IGN. Nothing really too new for Destiny followers, but there's a few subtle hints at things to come and slight twists on old facts that might make you ponder a bit!
Just a quick heads-up that we've posted a local copy of our photos from the "Ghosts in the Machine" concept art gallery that opened on Thursday in Seattle.
Learn how Bungie fan UnknownEmerald built his own Duke MK.44 in the video above, then check out his awesome Hunter and Titan costumes in the pic below. You can find more shots of these outfits over at his Deviant Art page. Nice work, UnknownEmerald!
The "Ghosts in the Machine" show began today, and we're already finding photos of new Destiny concept art around the internet. (The one above comes from the Ltd. Art Gallery twitter page.) Keep your eyes peeled - the exhibit is open until November 3rd!
Is the hunt for Destiny Beta codes driving you out of your gourd? Rest easy, Ichabod, for Bungie is getting into the Halloween spirit with a contest that will turn pumpkins into prizes. Don't wait until midnight - contest finalists will be chosen Sunday, so head over to Bungie.net for the rules post-haste! (Thanks, Xenos.)

Technical issues won't keep the Guardians of Destiny down - despite all odds, the latest episode of Guardian Radio is available for download. Grab some warm beer and give this a listen! (Thanks, roland.)
If you don't follow the Destiny Twitter account, this week might be a good time to start because they're handing out a few Beta codes every day this week. Today's codes have already been posted, and there's no knowing when tomorrow's codes will drop, so you'll have to be quick and lucky!
As seen in some of the articles posted this week, as well as showcased in the Weekly Update yesterday, some new concept art has been dribbling out of our favorite studio. Bungie's concept art gallery has been updated with these, and the gallery actually included a few I had missed, like this one, "Hive Lair".
Looks like our predecessors might have delved too greedily and too deep...DeeJ put the spotlight on the Destiny Community's Extra Life campaign, taking a quick moment to ask Mark of Guardian Radio for the details. Check out the article at Bungie.net, but above all else make sure to stop by the Extra Life page to see how you can help raise money for a worthy cause!
Destiny Updates has taken his time with The Moon trailer from earlier this month, and it paid off. I learned a few things, that's for sure.
Thanks for posting it on on our forums, Mr. Updates.
